Going live with OBS

(Follow the procedure to go live, as explained in "Going live")

If you haven’t done so yet, download OBS by clicking on the “Download OBS” button at the bottom of the page; after doing this, run the program. If this is the first time you start OBS, a window will be shown up automatically to guide you in the process of configuration; otherwise, in the toolbar click on “Tools” and select “Auto-Configuration Wizard”. When requested, you’ll have to choose the proper stream type from the drop-down menu selecting the “Custom Streaming Server” option, then enter in the dedicated fields the Live Server and the Stream Key.

In the “Sources Panel”, click on the + symbol to set the video source that will be capturing your video; now, you’re ready to go live by clicking on “Start Streaming”.

When you’re done, click on “Stop Streaming” and confirm the end of the broadcast in “My Videos page”.

N.B: After broadcasting your live, the video will be always available to be displayed on demand; for a few minutes, depending on the speed of your connection, the video will appear in the process of being elaborated. After the elaboration has ended, your video will be ready to be properly viewed.
